Information We Collect
We collect information you provide directly to us, including:
- account information such as your email address, authentication data, and profile details like username, display currency, avatar, and time zone;
- portfolio data such as positions, transactions, snapshots, financial planning inputs, and imported files or spreadsheets;
- AI feature inputs, including prompts, messages, and files you submit when you use AI features after enabling AI-related consent;
- communication data such as feedback, support messages, and email preferences; and
- usage data such as device, browser, log, cookie, and analytics information.
How We Use Information
We use personal information to:
- provide, maintain, and secure Lauolon;
- authenticate users and manage accounts;
- calculate portfolio values, analytics, and reports;
- operate AI features you choose to use;
- send account-related emails and weekly digest emails, unless you opt out of non-essential emails;
- understand product usage and improve reliability and performance; and
- comply with legal obligations and enforce our terms and policies.
How We Share Information
We share information only as needed to operate Lauolon, including with service providers such as:
- Supabase for authentication, database, and storage;
- Vercel for hosting and delivery;
- PostHog for product analytics;
- OpenAI for AI-powered features;
- Resend for transactional and automated emails; and
- Discord, when you submit feedback or contact us through our Discord community.
We may also disclose information if required by law or if necessary to protect Lauolon, our users, or others.
We do not sell personal information or share it for cross-context behavioral advertising.
Cookies and Analytics
Lauolon uses cookies and similar technologies for authentication, security, language and interface preferences, and analytics. If you block or remove cookies, some parts of the service may not work properly.
AI Features
If you enable AI-related consent and use AI features, the prompts, messages, and files you submit may be sent to OpenAI to generate responses. We may also store related conversation history and service metadata to operate, secure, and improve the feature experience inside Lauolon.
Public Portfolio Sharing
If you enable public portfolio sharing, information connected to that shared view may be visible to anyone with the link. This can include your username, avatar, asset holdings, allocation and income views, and other portfolio information included in the shared page. Public links remain available until they expire or you disable sharing.
Data Retention
We keep personal information for as long as needed to operate Lauolon, provide requested features, comply with legal obligations, resolve disputes, and protect the service.
If you request deletion, we will delete your personal data from our active systems within 48 hours, unless we need to keep limited information for legal, security, fraud-prevention, or backup-recovery purposes.
Your Choices
You may be able to access, update, or delete information in your account settings. You can also opt out of non-essential emails using the unsubscribe link in those emails.
